Our cosmetology program is designed to prepare students to sit for the state board exam through an environment our students love! You can get hands-on as you learn the technical skills and practice what you’re learning through extensive time in our student salon and spa. Cosmetology is a people industry, and we want to help you achieve success!

You can learn from our extensive curriculum that includes a variety of useful beauty techniques as well as important business skills. We created the program so our students can develop a well-rounded skillset and feel ready to take on new opportunities after graduation.

Not only will students get the opportunity to learn the newest trends in cosmetology, but they’ll also go through our entire esthetic, nail, and some of our hair braiding programs!

Throughout the course, students will have the chance to learn new skills by completing written assignments, attending lectures, watching demonstrations, and getting hands-on training. From start to finish, you can be supported through one-on-one time with experienced and passionate instructors who treat you like family.

Cosmetology Program FAQs

We know that enrolling in cosmetology school is a big decision, so you probably have some questions. Below, you can find answers to common questions about our cosmetology program.

When do classes start?

We conveniently offer class start dates multiple times per year. Our cosmetology program starts every 13 weeks. Contact us to find out the next class start date and see if our school is the perfect fit for you!

2024 Start Dates Include: January 29th, April 8th, July 8th, and October 7th.

What class schedules do you offer?

The cosmetology program is available to attend part-time from 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM on Monday – Wednesday. The program lasts for 53 weeks, and during that time, 24 hours must be completed each week.

How long is the cosmetology program?

Our cosmetology program is a total of 1,250 clock hours. It’s designed to last for 53 weeks, which is a little under 14 months long.

How much does the cosmetology program cost?

Starting Fees

Due before program begins:

  1. Registration – $250: Necessary to hold your place in class. Non refundable.
  2. Lab Kit Fee – $2900: Mandatory for attending. Non refundable.

Tuition Fees

  1. Full tuition: $18,500
  2. State Testing Application fee: $250: Necessary for Licensure

Total Tuition AND Fees: $21,900

Queen Beauty Institute prefers for cash payments to be under $1000.

The Application Process

We keep the application process simple to avoid unnecessary stress. If you haven’t done so already, we’d recommend researching our website to learn details about the different programs we offer. From there, it’s best to schedule a tour of our campus, but this step is optional.

Once you decide that you’d like to apply for our cosmetology program, it’s important to keep these requirements in mind:

  • You must be at least 16 years old
  • Provide a copy of your state/federal issued photo ID
  • Provide a copy of your high school diploma, GED, home school diploma approved by the US Department of Education showing completion of High School, or official transcripts showing high school completion
  • Complete the student application
  • Complete the enrollment contract and pay the registration fee of $250

After you submit your application, we’ll get in touch within 1-2 weeks. Once accepted, we’ll figure out a convenient time for you to come in and fill out the enrollment contract.
