As of 01.01.2022, ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF MUST BE VACCINATED. If you wish to enroll in a Queen Beauty Institute Program, you must provide your COVID-19 vaccination card as proof, unless you qualify for Medical or Religious exemption.
In order to enroll in our school, students must meet the following requirements:
1. At least 16 years of age.
2. Pay for Non-refundable Registration Fee and complete an application.
3. Provide a copy of a state or federal issued photo identification.
4. Provide a copy of high school diploma, or its equivalent such as G.E.D, or Home School Diploma approved by the US department of Education.
a. Foreign diplomas must be translated and evaluated from a recognized agency such as World Educational Services (WES), Globe Language Services, and Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).
b. Students are able to apply as long as they are in the process of obtaining a high school diploma or G.E.D., and will have the high school diploma or G.E.D. by the time they finish schooling at Queen Beauty Institute.
5. Transfer hours are accepted based on individual assessments. Transfer students are required to provide a copy of their transcript, take a theory assessment test, and practical tests.
In order to graduate and receive a diploma from our school, students must meet the following requirements:
1. Pass with a C average or higher.
2. Complete the required hours of training.
3. Complete curriculum requirements.
4. Fulfill all financial obligations to the school.
5. Upon completion of all course requirements, successful completion of the State Board of Cosmetology Examination is required to obtain a license to practice.
Examination prerequisite for licensure:
1. An individual who wants to obtain a teacher’s, manager’s, cosmetologist’s, cosmetician’s or manicurist’s license must pass the examination given by the Board for that license.
1. At least 16 years of age.
2. Completed 10th grade education or its equivalent.
3. Received training from or under the auspices of the Bureau of Rehabilitation in the Department of Labor and Industry. Subsection (a), does not apply to the following: A veteran or a students thirty-five years of age or older.
4. Completed 300 hours of board-approved subject relating to sanitation, scalp care, anatomy and natural hair braiding in a licensed school of cosmetology.
1. At least 16 years of age.
2. Completed 10th grade education or it’s equivalent.
3. Received training from or under the auspices of the Bureau of Rehabilitation in the Department of Labor and Industry. Subsection (a), does not apply to the following: A veteran or a student thirty-five years of age or older.
4. Completed 200 hours of instruction in nail technology in a licensed school of cosmetology.
1. At least 18 years of age.
2. Completed 12th grade education or its equivalent.
3. Received training from or under the auspices of the Bureau of Rehabilitation in the Department of Labor and Industry. Subsection (a), does not apply to the following: A veteran or students Thirty-five years of age or older.
4. Possesses a current cosmetologist’s license.
5. Completed 500 hours of instruction in a cosmetology teacher curriculum in a licensed school of cosmetology.
1. At least 16 years of age.
2. Completed 10th grade education or its equivalent.
3. Done one of the following:
1. At least 16 years of age.
2. Completed 10th grade education or its equivalent.
3. Received training from or under the auspices of the Bureau of Rehabilitation in the Department of Labor and Industry. Subsection (a), does not apply to the following: A veteran or a student thirty-five years of age or older.
4. Completed 300 hours of instruction in skin care in a licensed school of cosmetology.
